In an email sent to parents, Principal Heather McKinney-Rewa said that Forest Hills Northern High School was closing Wednesday out of an abundance of caution.
Tuesday night, an OK2Say tip was communicated to high school administration at 11:15, which could not be thoroughly investigated before the start of school Wednesday morning. The school did not specify what the investigation or the tip were regarding.
This comes after a 2-day investigation involving rumors of a hit list with student names on it was conducted by the school district and law enforcement. Those rumors were unsubstantiated.
All other buildings in the district remained open Wednesday.
