A Grand Rapids contractor is facing more charges in Ottawa County after police say he defrauded homeowners and subcontractors

30-year-old Wesley Pawloski of Grand Rapids is the owner of Blackstone Partners, a construction company Ottawa County Sheriff’s investigators began looking into in July 2023 after a resident reported paying for work that was never finished.

That investigation also showed several sub-contractors had never received full payment for their work.

Pawloski was charged with three counts of Felony Contractor Fraud in August, 2024.

A month later, detectives learned Pawloski was continuing to operate under a different business name, Designed Construction LLC and additional victims had paid the new company for home improvements that were never completed.

Prosecutors are now charging Pawloski with another count of Felony Contractor Fraud.

In all, multiple homeowners and business owners have been defrauded of over $100,000.

Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives have been working with neighboring police agencies regarding victims identified around West Michigan and the case is still under investigation.
