Ottawa County sees record-breaking early voter turnout

The Ottawa County Clerk’s office is sharing data from a record breaking nine days of early voter turnout

Ottawa County saw a huge increase in early voter turnout for the General Election.

In Monday’s newsletter, the clerk’s office released numbers showing voter numbers and a chart showing how early voting numbers increased throughout 2024.

In the February Presidential Primary Election just over 1,500 voters cast ballots.

For the August Primary, there were 2,862 voters.

So far in the general election, over the course of nine days, more than 33,000 voters cast in-person ballots.

That represents 41% of voters turning out, mirroring the state’s overall rate of 44%.
