A statewide effort to address food waste, traditional Native trade route gets marker, road funding for small cities, Appeals Court says send bills to Gov., mental health funding, and marijuana law fixes

A new effort to address food waste and increase donated food in Michigan's charitable food system, the Double Food Donation campaign, launched today, a traditional Native American trade route in Grand Rapids receives historical marker, and West Michigan villages and small cities will see road repairs as part of state road funding grants.

The Michigan Court of Appeals says the Republican-controlled House cannot sit on nine bills adopted in the last session of the Legislature when Dems were in control, MI Ed. department has new mental health support guidelines, and the MI House continues to consider marijuana law fixes.
