Guiding Light is a long-term addiction recovery nonprofit serving men and women as they begin their recovery journey.Their news release says physical health and fitness are an important part of that approach.
Brian Spyke, Director of Operations at Guiding Light, says, “Recovery is about much more than simply stopping the use of drugs or alcohol. It’s about helping people build healthy, sustainable lives.”
As a 100-percent donor-funded organization, events like the annual 5K help provide the resources needed to offer recovery programming and support services to individuals at no cost.
