Governor Whitmer’s office says she will court investors, senior executives and other business leaders in locating or expanding their presence in Michigan.

Her focus will be companies that might find Michigan’s manufacturing, defense technology and life sciences sectors to be a good fit.

The governor will address a manufacturing technology group while she’s there, join a panel discussion of U.S. governors and another on the future of electric vehicles.

A statement from Whitmer’s office says the governor is joined by the head of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, which is financing the trip through a not-for-profit fund.
