In a Facebook post, US Congressman Bill Huizenga announced he’ll seek reelection in Michigan’s 4th congressional district in the 2026.
The Republican has served in the US House since 2010, but has only represented the 4th district since 2022, after the state’s congressional maps were re-drawn.
As of Monday, no other Republicans had announced a run against Huizenga, though four Democrats, including Sean McCann and Jessica Swartz, are campaigning for the seat.
Huizenga’s office did not respond to an interview request by deadline.
