Weiss Technik North America, or WNA, has called West Michigan home for more than 45 years. The company manufactures walk-in vehicle test chambers that can replicate a wide array of climatic conditions including temperature, humidity, altitude, vacuum, corrosion, dust, and more. Manufacturers nationwide rely on these chambers to test their products to ensure reliability.
The company plans to develop a new 125,000 square foot facility in Kentwood after outgrowing its current facility in the 3000 block of Greenbrooke Drive Southeast. The new state-of-the-art facility will streamline WNA’s engineering, manufacturing, and logistics operations.
The investment is expected to create 36 new jobs with wages of up to $70 per hour plus benefits.
Officials with WNA say Kentwood was chosen over competing states due to the highly skilled workforce it has built in West Michigan over the past four decades.
