Ottawa County Veterans Services to host its first-ever Veterans Job Fair

Attendees will have access to career coaching, resume support and educational resources

Ottawa County Veterans Services will host its first Veterans Job Fair in just over a week. It will be held at the Fillmore Administration Building in West Olive.

Free and open to the public, the fair puts a special emphasis on serving veterans, military spouses and families by providing opportunities to connect with more than 20 local employers.

Jason Schenkel, Director of Ottawa County Veterans Services says, quote, “Whether you’re transitioning out of the military, reentering the workforce, or looking for a new opportunity, this job fair is designed to support your next step.” End quote.

Attendees will have access to career coaching, resume support and educational resources. Kendra Wenzel, Ottawa County Commissioner and Veterans Services Committee Member says quote, "Supporting our veterans in this way not only honors their service but also strengthens our community, economy and workforce.”

The job fair will be held just days after “National Hire a Veteran Day” which is July 25th. The Ottawa County event is Monday, July 28th.
