Muskegon’s 2nd Annual Celebration of Service for veterans and their families takes place this June

Area veterans will be honored with two massive drone shows, one featuring synchronized lights from 200 electric vehicles and 500 aerial drones over Muskegon Lake.

“With this attempt, we’re actually looking at trying to do a world record of synchronized light shows both from electric vehicles synced with drone show.”

Organizer and veteran Jamal Steward says veteran resources will also be offered during the event.

“We have different organizations that veterans and their family members can, face-to-face, get information and support in order to better the quality of their family.”

On-site resources include mental health, suicide prevention, housing and financial assistance. Hands-on STEM activities for youth will also be featured.

“These activities give us a chance to promote skilled trades and other aspects of a quality life for the youth that are growing up and giving them a chance to know what they want to do.”

The event runs Friday, June 20th through Saturday, June 21st. More information can be found online at cc-entertainment.org
