Wednesday's public events with finalists for the Ottawa County Administrator position are cancelled because there is only one candidate left

The remaining finalist, Michael Tremblay, is a retiring U.S, Army officer with executive leadership experience.

Tremblay will continue in the process and participate in a public interview with the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners Thursday morning.

That meeting is open to the public and will be livestreamed

County leaders cancelled the planned meet-and greet and community interview scheduled for Wednesday after the withdrawal of finalist Mark Eisenbarth.

A third finalist, Glen Salyer, previously withdrew from consideration.

The last man standing, Tremblay brings military leadership experience as a Garrison Commander in South Korea, managing a billion-dollar budget and has expertise in crisis response, strategic planning and workforce development.

Updates on the hiring process can be found on the Ottawa County website.
