Mel Trotter Ministries is announcing a donation drop off day early to give people a chance to collect items or purchase supplies ahead of time.
Mel Trotter is the largest provider of services to people experiencing homelessness in West Michigan.
The organization will celebrate its 125th anniversary on Monday, February 24th by holding a Donation Drop Off Day.
The event will collect items to help men, women and children who do not have stable housing and need everyday items.
Mel Trotter Ministries most needs supplies such as: all sizes of men’s t-shirts, tennis shoes, twin sheets, shaving cream and razors, deodorant, individually wrapped toothbrushes, and underwear for men, women and children.
There is also an Amazon Wishlist posted on the Mel Trotter website.
Those donating can pull up to the curb at the mission’s front entrance on Commerce Avenue SW, and a volunteer will come to the car and collect items.
The event is Monday, February 24th from 8-4.
