The FBI was called as Kent County Sheriff’s School Resource Officers investigated the threat and quickly identified a suspect.
They interviewed the 14-year-old Forest Hills Northern student who is now in the custody of the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center for filing a false report of terrorism.
The investigation determined there is no threat to the school or its students.
In a letter sent to parents Thursday afternoon, Forest Hills Public School officials stated this incident is unrelated to the issue that caused the school to close Wednesday.
