The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for thieves stealing from construction sites

Since the beginning of April, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office has noticed an increase in thefts from construction sites.

Approximately $23,000 worth of trailers, construction materials and tools have been stolen from different job sites throughout the county.

The thieves seem to be targeting housing developments and larger remodeling projects. KCSO is encouraging construction companies to install cameras on their job sites so suspects can be quickly identified.

They’re also asking residents to call KCSO or Silent Observer to anonymously report suspicious activity.
