Months ago, after a series of emotional hearings, a judge determined that Ethan Crumbley was eligible for life-without-parole, even though he was only 15 at the time of the shooting.
Prosecutors argued Crumbley’s meticulous planning of the attack that took the lives of four classmates, and his desire to watch the result of the carnage, demands a life sentence.
Judge Kwame Rowe said he doubted Crumbley could be rehabilitated.
But Rowe could still hand the teen a sentence other than life, anywhere from a minimum of between 25 and 40 years in prison, to a maximum of 60 years.
