Baker is running for the State House of Representatives in Michigan's 88th District.

The race in the newly drawn 88th District features a current state representative and two would-be newcomers to Lansing, as the district covers portions of southwest Muskegon County and much of western Ottawa County, including Norton Shores, Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg.

Democrat Christine Baker is a retired education professional, and currently serves as the vice president of the Grand Haven Area Public Schools Board of Education. She says, Democracy, Education, the Economy & the Environment are her priorities, but the reproductive rights of women tops the list.
