A funeral director in western Michigan is facing a new charge after authorities say a container that was to have contained cremated remains of a baby boy was found to be empty when it was unearthed.
The Muskegon Chronicle reports the Muskegon County prosecutor's office Tuesday charged 60-year-old Thomas Claude Clock III with fraud.
He already was jailed in a similar case.
The Associated Press left a message with the public defender's office, which was appointed to represent Clock.
Investigators dug up the container Friday at Fruitland Township Cemetery and found that it didn't contain remains of the 6-month-old who died about a year ago.
Clock was earlier charged after authorities said he buried an empty urn and mislead a family into thinking it contained a woman's cremated remains.
