We’ve got less than four weeks now before Election Day 2026.And more than 200,000 Michigan voters have already cast their ballot by mail, a drop box or at the local clerk’s office. That’s a 30-percent increase over the number of ballots returned at this point before the general election of 2022.
The Deputy Secretary of State, Aghogho Edevbie, says, “With just one month left before Election Day, there’s still time to register to vote and request a mail ballot. If you have already received a mail ballot, be sure to return it by mail, at a ballot drop box, or to your local clerk’s office. Voters who prefer to cast their ballots in person can take advantage of at least nine days of early voting or vote at the polls on Election Day.”
Her office says as of yesterday, just over two million voters have requested a mail-in or absentee ballot for the 2026 General Election.
State officials also say Voters can track the status of their mail ballot online at mi.gov/trackballot or by calling their city or township election clerk.
