Mobile Crisis Response offers confidential support to people facing intense stress, substance abuse, family conflict or thoughts of suicide.
“Because we know everyone goes through tough times, sometimes.”
Tim Piers with Community Mental Health of Ottawa County defines a crisis as an experience that overwhelms a person’s ability to cope.
“Most people will have times, moments in their lives, where it feels unmanageable or overwhelming.”
Residents can call the crisis line anytime to speak to a professional to talk through a situation, find options and resources. If needed, responders will come to a person’s home or safe community location to provide support.
“When we're able to come in and provide that support or those resources or options earlier on, it can prevent it from escalating to where other services are needed, or someone gets to a point of needing to go to a hospital or something like that.”
Mobile Crisis Response is available for all Ottawa County residents, regardless of age, insurance status or whether they already receive behavioral health services.
Call Mobile Crisis Response anytime at 616-494-5590.
For immediate danger or a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
