Along busy Fulton Avenue across the street from the new site, project leaders shared details of what’s being called The Averden.
Ada Township supervisor Tom Korth says the project meets needs outlined in the area’s master plan.
“It did identify we needed senior living in the township, and we have various spots where it could go but this site is one of the more important ones.”
Builder Dan Vos gifted 18 acres to develop 136 homes in three distinct neighborhoods including villas, flats and lofts with wooded areas and plenty of amenities centered on arts and recreation.

The main benefit, though, is Holland Home’s Lifecare Promise, providing lifelong access to health care.
“When you move in, you’re buying into the care we are able to provide through skilled nursing, through assisted living, all the way through the continuum.”
Troy Vugteveen, President & CEO of Trillium Living, parent company of Holland Home, explained the cost of the units are based off home values in the area.
“Our price points here in Ada at this campus will start at $750,000. It’s still affordable but it’s on the higher side.”
Construction on the $215 million development is set to begin early 2027.
