Salina Bishop is seeking new working relationships with local health systems. Partnerships meeting the needs of West Michigan’s ever-growing healthcare sector.
Ronald McDonald House provides shelter and amenities to families with children being treated for critical illnesses in nearby hospitals.
Before taking over as Chief Executive Officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities West Michigan, Bishop was the organization’s lead fundraiser. She took over in January following former CEO Ellen Carpenter’s retirement.
“When the board tapped me and asked me to consider taking on this role, I did know those were going to be big shoes to fill. When you know the mission, and you’re so engaged with the mission, everything else just kind of falls into place. I want to make sure our organization leans into our mission and really is the wraparound support for those families.”
Now Bishop is working to position the organization as more than just a place to stay, but an essential component of a family’s healthcare.
