Twenty citywide neighborhood projects designed by residents and non-profit groups will share $81,800. The projects are aimed at bringing the community together and promoting a deeper sense of belonging among neighbors.
Twice a year, residents submit project ideas to the city’s Neighborhood Match Fund. Selected projects are awarded matching funds from $500-$5,000.
Projects this year include “Aim to Inspire,” a prom specifically designed for the special needs community, “One Peace Hip Hop Festival,” and “Dreamstone CX,” a community event centered on creative arts and mental wellness for BIPOC young adults.
The NMF program has awarded over $845,000 to over 260 community-led projects since its inception in 2017.
The city will accept another round of submissions throughout the month of June for projects taking place September 2025 through February 2026.
