Kent Co. seeking participation in mobility study

Kent County

The purpose of the study is to understand the mobility needs of residents and begin to chart a path toward improving transportation options outside of The Rapid’s core service area

If you live, work, and travel around West Michigan, Kent County want to hear from you.

The Kent County Mobility Study began in June 2024 and is currently in its first phase of documenting and gathering data to understand the current state of mobility services in the county.

The purpose of the study is to understand the mobility needs of residents and begin to chart a path toward improving transportation options outside of The Rapid’s core service area. The study will also assess connections to neighboring communities outside the county.

The parts of Kent County seeing the most growth are those outside of Grand Rapids urban core. Townships and small towns are seeing new housing, jobs, and other economic opportunities, creating more demand for affordable and varied transportation services.

While the county wants to hear from as many people as possible, it’s especially seeking input from residents in Lowell, Walker, and communities in northern Kent County to ensure every region is being represented.

You can find a link to the survey here.
