“Thank you, very much grand rapids.”
In 2016 Donald Trump wrapped up his successful campaign for president with a rally at Devos Place in downtown Grand Rapids. He reminded his supporters when he returned in 2020.
“This was our final night prior to a very, very big victory. We left around one o’clock, we came home late and then we watched a beautiful victory.”
In 2020 Trump again ended his campaign in west Michigan, with a rally near the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
“And we are going to have another beautiful victory tomorrow.”
In 2020 Trump did not win the election but sources tell ABC news he is still planning another campaign concluding rally in Grand Rapids. No details on when and where, but during a visit in July he said how much he likes Van Andel Arena and its huge capacity.
“Thousands and thousands and I mean lots of thousands here this is a hell of an arena this is a hell of an arena.”
