Hundreds attended the rally at Berlin Raceway and Entertainment Complex in Marne. This was the Ohio Senator’s fifth visit to Michigan since being named former President Donald Trump’s running mate in July. This was also his second stop in Michigan just one day after his debate with Democratic vice-presidential nominee, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
Vance spent the majority of his 45-minute speech talking about Vice-President Kamala Harris and what he says are her policies leading to economic instability.
“Now here’s a plan that I would propose to Kamala Harris, and I mean this in good faith, Kamala: if you’d like to bring peace and stability back to the world, I recommend you vote for Donald J. Trump for President because he’s already done it and he’s going to do it again.”
Vance also spoke about immigration, election security, and the type of future he sees for Michigan under Trump’s plan to invest in American energy resources and workers.
“If we’re penalizing companies that are shipping jobs overseas and rewarding the workers and businesses that are building things right here in the United States of America, Michigan is going to lead a great American manufacturing renaissance and I want to carry that message to all corners of the state, but especially to Grand Rapids.”
Vance will continue campaigning today in Georgia.
