The candidates for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat are campaigning with reinforcements in the final week before the election

Democrat Elissa Slotkin is campaigning in Grand Rapids Monday with a lifelong Republican by her side – former Congresswoman Liz Cheney of Wyoming who endorsed Slotkin last week in her bid for the Senate seat left by retiring Democrat Debbie Stabenow.

Cheney says she’s fighting back against extremist rhetoric in today’s politics, choosing to support serious and principled leaders who will put the good of the country first.

Meanwhile, Slotkin’s Republican opponent former Congressman Mike Rogers is campaigning with U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, attending a pro-Israel community event in Oakland County hosted by the Republican Jewish Coalition.

Graham is considered a top Republican leader and is the Ranking Member on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
