Kamala Harris to campaign in Michigan this week

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris will campaign across Michigan this week, including a stop in West Michigan

This will be Harris’ sixth trip to Michigan since becoming the Democratic presidential candidate. The Harris-Walz campaign confirmed the Vice-President has stops planned for Detroit, Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Oakland County this week.

Michigan continues to be a battleground state on the road to the White House. Harris most recently held a rally at the Dort Financial Center in Flint on October 4th.

Harris’ will hold a town hall meeting in Detroit on Tuesday, where early voting is scheduled to take place from Saturday, October 19th through Sunday, November 3rd. Harris will then make appearances in Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Oakland County on Friday. Additional details on those events were not immediately available. Early voting in Grand Rapids begins Saturday, October 26th and will run through Sunday, November 3rd.

Next week, Harris will campaign with former President Barack Obama in Detroit on October 22nd.

The most recent NBC News poll shows the race at a virtual tie, with 48% of voters saying they’d vote for Harris and 48% saying they’d vote for former President Donald Trump. 4% say they are either undecided or wouldn’t vote for either major party candidate.
