9 days of early in person voting was an option for eligible residents. Polls close today at 8:00pm

“The importance of ensuring every valid vote counts and only valid votes count is at the forefront of our minds.”

This year for the first time, 9 days of early in person voting was an option for eligible residents, but Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says what has not changed is the reliability of election results

“That vote they will cast in this election cycle reflects their voice.”

In Kent County voters are deciding if hotel taxes should go up to help pay for an amphitheater and a soccer stadium in downtown Grand Rapids. They are also selecting candidates for local, state and federal offices. The Polls close at 8pm.

“We want to make sure in the primary election that every voice is heard, and every eligible voter casts a ballot.”
