Ethan Crumbley is serving a life sentence. James and Jennifer Crumbley both were convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Ethan Crumbley was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for killing Oxford High students in 2021 when he was 15 years old.

His parents, James and Jennifer Crumbley, were handed a minimum of 10 years in prison for being grossly negligent by ignoring their son’s mental health concerns and instead buying him a gun as a gift.

Both are also filing appeals.

Now Ethan Crumbley’s court-appointed attorneys want access to his parent’s pre-sentencing reports, claiming they have relevant information about issues like their mental health and how they raised their son.

The father’s attorneys counter that anything the teens’ lawyers want to know about his upbringing they can find out from their client.
