Muskegon has a new vice mayor and 3 new city commissioners

“We have three new members of the commission its been a long time since we had three new members at one time”  

With the election of 3 new commissioners Muskegon Mayor Ken Johnson says they now have more females than ever  

“For the first time in our city’s history we have the majority of the city commission who are women”  

And more minority representation.  

“For the first time in our city’s history we have 3 black members in our city commission.”  

And the commission elected a new vice mayor. First term commissioner Rebecca St. Clair, replacing vice mayor Willie German, who is okay with that.  

“I have no issues with that because I think she will do a good job.”  

“Congratulations Vice Mayor St. Clair” (applause).

“it is a joy and an honor to serve and work alongside each one of you I am so proud of what you bring to this team.”
