Muskegon Rescue Mission’s Community Resource Center has officially opened its doors, as the non-profit says, its already making an impact on the Lakeshore.
After opening its doors just over a month ago, officials say the Muskegon Rescue Mission’s new community resource center is already making a huge difference in the community, as the new multi-purpose facility offers a variety of services to those on the Lakeshore and beyond.
The non-profit calls it a “one-stop-shop” experience for those facing generational poverty or just needing help,” as the community resource center offers everything from “workforce readiness training, GED completion, literacy classes, social services, life skill training, personalized case management, health services, spiritual support and more.”
Melissa Boughner is Muskegon Rescue Mission’s Development Director.
“There are over 60 donors under one roof that are willing and wanting to help out the community,” she said.
That one roof is located behind the Men’s Shelter at 1747 7th St. in Muskegon. The rescue mission said its goal for the CRC is for guests to enter with a specific need and leave with a workable plan or resolution.
The services are free to anyone.
