Most Legislators went home weeks ago, but the Legislative session officially ended on Wednesday. For Lauren Plawecki, it was a very short tenure.
"Well, that was fast," Plawecki said. The 22-year-old Plawecki took her mother's vacant seat after she suddenly passed away in June.
Plawecki, a recent University of Michigan graduate in museum education-had been doing an internship in California when she decided to fill the position .
Plawecki went to three weeks of session, including one very long and tumultuous final week. She says she tried her best to finish up some important porjects for her mother.
"I knew that she had a lot of things in the works. I mean I was there when she was working on them, I wanted to be the person that could see them across the finish line."
During her short time in session, Plawecki introduced a bill to proftect senior citizens and saw one her mother's bills pass.
