Working to empower and strengthen families with young children, the Michigan League for Public Policy is a nonpartisan policy institute dedicated to economic opportunity for all. With all of the League’s work done through a racial and equity lens, it is the only state-level organization that addresses poverty in a comprehensive way, and analyzes the impact of state and federal budgets and policies on residents with low incomes. The Kids Count report provides data that illustrates the barriers that Michigan children face, and can be used as a tool to help make informed policy decisions to improve outcomes for Michigan’s children. Alicia Guevara-Warren, Kids Count Project Director, is here to share more about the Kids Count in Michigan data project. For more information, visit: www.mlpp.org.
