The West Michigan Jazz Society opens its season tonight at the Meadows Amphitheatre, Millennium Park, the All Star Jazz Band and Northview High Jazz Band taking the stage. Carlos Kulas-Dominguez discuss this June 2-August 4 line up of stellar performers.

Naim Obied is involved in a fascinating effort in Israel with a GR connection. We talk about the ACAT Center. Naim is touring the USA speaking to a number of Jewish Federation chapters in the US. ACAT is similar to GR's WMAT, giving students life skills.

The annual Tech Trends happens this week, a 20th anniversary including a new speaker. The event is hosted by West Michigan Tech Talent, created by West Michigan Works!, this opportunity to tie into the region's broader efforts to develop a stronger tech workforce. We talk to Keith Brophy, Mentavi Health and Dre Wallace, Opnr.

A unique Bike Event happens on the 21st, with many local partners involved. Ana Ortiz with the Office of Equity and Engagement at the City of GR discusses this Latino Outdoors Bike Event, with WGVU's Lorena Aguayo-Marquez. Ana is part of the Michigan Local Latino Network, which is Michigan's state chapter of the Latino Government Hispanic Network.

Come the weekend, don't miss the third annual installment of a neighborhood activation, celebrating GR's 175th. We talk to the President of Heartside Business Association's President Matthew Rothenberg, activities including a round trip trolley, a free concert in Pekich Park, food trucks, and special offers from local businesses.
