April is Alcohol Awareness Month and we talk to Dr William Beecroft, Medical Director of Behavioral Health at BCBS of Michigan. Teens who drink are more likely to die in a car crash, be a victim of violent crime, and more likely to have problems at school. We talk about how to have a good conversation with teens about alcohol.

The Masters Golf Tournament has kicked off in Augusta, so we talk golf with Author Michael Arkush, author of The Golf 100: A Spirited Ranking of the Greatest Player of All Time. Described as revealing and inspiring, Michael shares examples of the best and this candid glimpse inside the world of golf.

WGVU’s 5k fundraiser is right around the corner, we continue a series speaking with those in the fitness community and asking for their health tips and strategies. Today, Betsy Granstra talks about her niche in EGR, the races she directs and her own journey to inspire others.

The Be Café is an organization supported by the Cascade Community Foundation, with a large community following. A new café is opening at Koetsier’s greenhouse, and Melinda Koetsier and Rachel Stadt join in to talk about the partnership, opening, and how local business owners are providing employment to the Café’s Beristas who are ready for expanded work opportunities.

Hospice of Michigan is the largest hospice in the state, with fundraising key. Associate VP of Philanthropy for Hospice Barbara Anderson talks about the event that returns to GR in May, Barley, BBQ, and Beats. This fundraiser has grown every year since its inaugural event in 2016.
