GVSU's Regional Science Olympiad Competition, The Papier Mache Project, Turning Pointe School of Dance, and The Catholic Foundation of West Michigan.

GVSU celebrates 40 years of a Regional Science Olympiad Competition. The March 23 event features middle and high school student teams competing in 23 events, including a Robot Tour Track and a lot of Air Trajectory. Chelsea Ridge, Co director of the Region 12 Michigan Science Olympiad with the details.

The Papier Mache Project features a culmination of Vanessa Jimenez’s work as an artist, photographer, and poet in a debut gallery exhibition this weekend, Vanessa discussing this collection. She features an exploration which explores the intersections of identity, society and self discovery.

Turning Pointe School of Dance announces its 25th season, with the organization’s upcoming spring performance Redeemed, as a tribute. Debra Burr, Executive Director of TPSD, talks about the performance at the Knickerbocker, following the themes of Spring. The School trains young dancers to perform at the highest level through graceful music.

The Catholic Foundation of West Michigan’s Love and Charity happens today. More than 92,000 dollars will be awarded to 8 local nonprofits, receiving grants to continue serving West Michigan. We talk to Greg Deja, Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation of West Michigan.
