City commissioners voted down a proposal expanding the Muskegon Social Drinking District due to safety concerns

Currently, the two red structures are owned and operated from the Michigan Lighthouse Conservancy, which is based on the east side of the state.

Muskegon committee had banned group last week while labeling it as a "political organization."
