The Chinese EV company Gotion has filed a motion in federal court to stop its president from being deposed by a mid-Michigan township over the construction of a multi-billion dollar battery plant

The five officials were part of a 7-0 vote last December supporting a factory by Gotion, a China-based manufacturer, in the Mecosta County township.
