Muskegon Community College launches its Centennial Celebration with a Community Lake Cruise! We talk with MCC's Director of Development Richard Vanderputte-McPherson about the first of many opportunities to celebrate together, an event including music, food, drink and good scenes. The community is invited on this 2 hour cruise.

It's Christmas in July, a fundraiser for the organization Broken People. ED Joseph Reid joins in to talk about the organization, the event, the book Broken Like Me and more.

A new film event spotlights untold stories from the Great Lakes. We begin a two part conversation with filmmaker/Manitou Films' Keith Patterson, presenting Lake Leelanau, Spirit of the Lake, playing the Sweetwater Film Showcase Thursday. Patterson is involved also with the documentary Beer City USA, plus Frontier to Freedom.

Michigan is experiencing a severe tick season, making protection crucial. We talk to Dr. David Rzeszutko, vice president of medical and clinical operations at Priority Health, about why cases are up, how best to remove a tick, plus how best to prevent.
