Holland-based Hudsonville Ice Cream’s board of directors has elected CJ Ellens as the company’s next chief executive officer. CJ is the son of the late Dennis Ellens who owned the company since 2003 and passed away in February.
Ellens currently serves as the company’s executive vice president, having held a variety of roles over the past two decades.
As CEO, Ellens says he plans to focus on long-term growth, investing in the company’s workforce and technology while strengthening partnerships and pursuing new business opportunities.
Ellens is succeeding Tina Floyd, who served as the company’s CEO since January 2023. During her tenure, the company launched a $40 million expansion and created 44 new jobs. Floyd will continue working closely with Ellens as an advisor during the transition.
Ellens’ first day as CEO is January 1st.
