Meijer gas stations beat out Buc-ee’s as America’s favorite convenience store in this year’s American Customer Satisfaction Index

Better known as a grocery store chain, Meijer has earned the top spot on the ACSI when it comes to customer satisfaction at its Express gas stations.

Out of more than two dozen national convenience store brands, QuikTrip, Sheetz and Wawa tied for second place with Buc-ee's in a five-way tie for fourth.

The rankings are based on more than 9,000 customer surveys evaluating factors like store cleanliness, employee courtesy, checkout speed and coffee quality.

Overall, convenience store industry customer satisfaction has dipped 1%.

Meijer operates about 500 stores in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
