Deer Connections is an online platform designed to connect eligible landowners with hunters looking for places to hunt.
It’s part of a broader effort to address the deer-related challenges in Kent County, which has led the state in car-deer crashes for the last ten years.
The platform also increases opportunities for responsible deer management on private land.
Landowners can review hunter profiles, choose one to contact, and customize a hunting access agreement.
The program provides hunting liability insurance at no cost to the landowner.
Deer Connections is funded through a partnership with the Kent County Deer Management Coalition, Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the National Deer Association.
