Artificial intelligence should enhance human expertise, not replace it.
That’s the message from leaders at Vervint, a Grand Rapids-based global IT firm and key partner at this year’s Tech Week.

“The first, and the most important, is we're bringing simplicity to IT. Right now, there's so much going on, whether it be from a memory capacity issue, data centers, things like that. We're bringing simplicity to that, educating our customers and the community on what this all really means.”
Hemmingsen applauds local economic development and education leaders working to build a strong regional workforce pipeline.
“We have a lot of talent here in West Michigan, and I'm excited. It gives us a chance during Tech Week to actually go out, get to know some of the talent out there, because we plan on growing in West Michigan fairly significantly in the next two to three years.”
Hemmingsen sees real progress toward establishing Greater Grand Rapids as a leading hub for technology and innovation.
“We have a lot of startups here, and people don't realize how much tech is actually getting generated… We are starting to come up and be very recognized in the industry as a great place to go and get a tech job.”
Tech Week events are largely free and open to the public, running through Saturday.
