The Fairlife expansion is expected to add 245,000 square feet and two new production lines to the existing facility, creating approximately 200 new full-time jobs.
The ultra-filtered milk and protein shake maker plans to source an additional four million pounds of milk from Michigan dairy suppliers each day to meet the increased production demand.
At the groundbreaking, community leaders emphasized that the impact of the expansion will reach beyond the Coopersville area, creating opportunities across the state.
Lakeshore Advantage interim president Mandy Cooper noted, “Combined with critical water infrastructure improvements, this investment strengthens the Lakeshore’s growing food and agribusiness cluster and creates capacity for future economic growth across the region.”
Fairlife’s Coopersville plant began production in 2012 and currently employees nearly 450 full-time workers.
The expansion is expected to finish in early 2028.
