Microsoft holds meetings with residents to discuss datacenter issues

The community events are Tuesday and Thursday in Gaines and Lowell townships

Microsoft representatives will share development plans with residents, answer questions and incorporate feedback into potential plans for the two sites.

Company representatives will discuss Microsoft’s commitments around water and energy usage, job creation, economic opportunities and community investment – all concerns residents have raised previously.

In Gaines Charter Township, Microsoft owns land and has requested rezoning allowing for potential datacenter campuses.

The Gaines Township meeting is Tuesday, March 3 from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Kindred Event Center on 7th Street in Caledonia.

In Lowell Charter Township, Microsoft is evaluating the purchase of land for future datacenter development.  

The Lowell Township Community Event is Thursday, March 5 from 4-7:30 p.m. at The Fairway of Kent County Event Center on Cascade Road in Lowell.
