The car company has lowered profit sharing for UAW workers

General Motors says it lost around $3 billion over the final three months of the year

That number comes after adjusting for special items, like electric vehicle costs.

Over the last 12 months, the automaker changed its approach toward electrified models due to waning consumer interest.

GM made a net profit of $2.7 billion last year, less than half of what it made in 2024.

As a result, represented UAW workers at the car company will get $10,500 in profit sharing payouts.

That’s $4,000 less than what members received in 2025.
