The worker has since been suspended from his job

Democrats are criticizing President Trump for an interaction he had with an auto worker while touring Ford’s Dearborn truck plant this week.

While touring the facility, video shows an assembly line worker called Trump a “pedophile protector.”

The president responded with an expletive and giving him the finger.

The worker has since been suspended from his job.

Democratic former transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg says that worker has his support:

“I mean I don’t know all the legalities or the contract with the UAW, but I know this. This is a work that spoke his mind to the most powerful person in the country and is well within his rights to do that as an American.”

The UAW released a statement saying workers should not be subject to vulgar language by anyone, including the President.

Online donations for the worker are now more than $600,000.
