Gun Lake Investments and Alpena business owner and developer Jeff Konczak announced the return of the fast-food restaurant back in January. As the new owners of Hot n’ Now, the partners hope to introduce a whole new generation to the once-beloved burger chain when it opens in Wayland this summer and Alpena in the fall.
The drive-thru building is currently being assembled in Alpena by Konczak’s company, B Cubed Manufacturing, which uses a plug and play concept, manufacturing the structure offsite, then assembling it on location.

The restaurant’s Wayland location will be on 129th Avenue, across the street from Gun Lake Casino, and open 7 days a week.
Patrons can expect to see signature items featured on the menu, such as The Olive Burger and Cheesy Taters, along with the chain’s affordable prices.
A specific opening date for both locations has yet to be released.
