The state is awarding more than $14 million in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits to the projects, which will create or preserve at least 484 affordable rental homes.
In Muskegon, phase three of Allen Crossing is receiving over $1.2 million toward the completion of 42 one- and two-bedroom units for households earning between 30% and 80% of Area Median Income.
Also in Muskegon, Froebel Place is a new affordable housing development that is receiving over $1.2 million for the completion of 52 two- and three-bedroom units for households earning 30% to 80% of AMI.
In Grand Rapids, Alpine Senior Apartments is receiving just over $1.4 million toward the completion of 52 one- and two-bedroom units for households earning 30% to 70% of AMI.
Also in Grand Rapids, phase two of Union Suites on Coit is receiving over $1.4 million for the completion of 20 one-bedroom units, 21 two-bedroom units and 11 three-bedroom units for tenants earning 30% to 80% of AMI.
The projects are expected to create 23 permanent jobs and just over 800 temporary construction jobs.
