First, Grand Rapids Public Museum’s renovation and exhibit space expansion.
The museum is refreshing the riverside landscape with new ramps and stairs.
The carousel restoration continues, and a new four-story tower is taking shape.
Construction at Canal Park in the Monroe North neighborhood is adding community space at a multi-purpose plaza.
It includes an enclosed pavilion, a new playground, river overlooks, paved trail and kayak launch.
Downriver at 111 Lyon, the former Old Kent Bank building, crews are converting upper floor office space into 140 apartments with river views, indoor pool, pickleball court, golf and racing simulators.
Fifth Third Bank will keep its offices on the lower floors.
Construction on the Acrisure Amphitheater has passed the midway point.
Focus is turning to its stage, hillside seating, parking and support facilities.
Seven concerts are already booked; dates and acts will be announced soon.
Finally, Amway Stadium construction has begun with the onsite demolition of the Big Boy restaurant.
The stadium is slated to open Spring 2027.
